Dr. Pam Doubek
Dr. Doubek is a 2002 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She purchased Northwest Veterinary Hospital in October of 2006. She enjoys showing Labrador Retrievers and Russell Terriers. She has 2 grown sons, Ethan and Quinn. Dr. Pam enjoys gardening, canning, cooking, camping, dog showing, reading, traveling and her pets. In 2024 Dr. Pam became a master gardener intern, volunteering in community gardens that supply fresh produce to food pantries and volunteering at local arboretums and botanical gardens. She is a member of the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Society for Theriogenology.

Rod Doubek, Office Manager
Rod has been our full time office manager since November of 2009. Rod has perfected many tasks as manager and beyond. You will find him answering the phone, running the computers, helping in our laboratory, holding animals and doing our inventory and bookkeeping. Rod has 2 sons, Nick and Nathan. Rod's hobbies include motorcycling, camping, gardening and playing cards and trivia.

Anne Phillips, Reproduction Technician
Anne joined the Northwest Veterinary Hospital team in February of 2020. You can find her assisting with and enjoying all aspects of the practice, but she is passionate about canine reproduction.
Anne shares her home with two cats, Kiara and Chiquita and an assortment of Brittanys.
She is an active volunteer at her church and serves as the show chair of the Iowa Brittany Club. In her free time she enjoys dog shows (her accomplishments include winning Best of Breed, Winners Bitch and Reserve Winners at the 2024 ABC National Specialty), hunt tests, hiking and reading.

Alex Kimzey, Registered Veterinary Technician
Alex Kimzey is a Registered Veterinary Technician new to NWVH (October 2024). She graduated from DMACC's Veterinary Technology Program in 2018 and has been in the Vet Med world since 2016. She has experience with pocket pets, cats, dogs, turtles, rabbits, and neonates. Alex is trained in emergency and critical care/small animal ICU vet medicine, shelter medicine, and general practice. She strives for quality patient care/nursing with special interests in neonates, ultrasonography/radiology (diagnostic imaging), ECC/ICU, dentistry, and anesthesia. When she's not working, you can catch Alex spending time outside with her boyfriend (Jesse) and their three dogs (Oreo, Brutus and Mocha), journaling/crafting, painting, reading, and making music/experiencing live music. She also shares her home with 2 male rats named Mac and Cheese and an orange tabby named Jack.

Elizabeth Snedden, Veterinary Technician Student/Assistant
Elizabeth is a Veterinary Technician student at DMACC and will be graduating from the program in May of 2025. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling with her dog, Gus, and playing with her two cats, Po and Collin.
